“Thank you so much for funding our grant, ‘Developing our 21st Century Learning Space: Bringing iPads into the School Library.’ We are so grateful. This opens the opportunity for so many more projects and our students and teachers are thrilled. Thank you for making this dream a reality!”

LEF supports exceptional educational activities that fall outside the Lexington Public Schools’ budget. LEF awards three types of grants:
- LEF Program Grants fund the exploration and implementation of innovative approaches to teaching, the creation of educational materials, and the piloting of new technology in the classroom.
- LEF Fellowships fund professional development opportunities for individual educators to deepen their subject-area knowledge and strengthen their skills in ways that will have a direct impact on their teaching.
- LEF School Community Grants fund activities at each Lexington public school that strengthen the overall learning environment and build community school-wide. Every LPS school receives a School Community Grant every year.
"The LEF-funded anti-bullying program, Rachel’s Challenge, has been powerful. Its core message – that we should focus on what each of us can do for others, on treating people with kindness, and on embracing diversity – has come to define the Clarke community.”
