Lexington Education Foundation hires director--September 10, 2009

Lexington - Lexington Education Foundation (LEF) recently hired Aimee LeBrun as the organization's first executive director.

Before joining LEF, LeBrun was the communications and development officer with the Rhode Island Council for Humanities, where she was responsible for fundraising and messaging for the organization. She has also held positions at YouthBuild USA in Somerville and The Children's Museum in Boston.

LeBrun resides in Lexington with her family.

Founded in 1989, the Lexington Education Foundation is an independent 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to enhancing educational excellence for the children of Lexington Public Schools. Since its inception, LEF has awarded more than $2.9 million to Lexington educators through its competitive grants program.
