How to Apply for the LEF Summer Fellowship Program-2012

What is the LEF Summer Fellowship Program?
The Summer Fellowship provides an opportunity for teachers with professional status to pursue professional development opportunities that will have a positive impact on student learning.

The purpose of Summer Fellowships is to enable individual or groups of certified staff members to spend time during the summer months attending professional development courses, seminars or workshops directly relating to their teaching positions. The grant may be used to cover economy-level travel costs associated with this coursework. Fellowship proposals for opportunities that are only available during other school vacations will be considered.

The application must indicate how the Fellowship will improve the applicant's professional practice and enhance student learning. If a group of teachers seek the same Summer Fellowship opportunity or wish to collaborate on a single project, each member of the group must submit a separate, individualized application.

Who is Eligible to Apply?
