Stars for Star Teachers

When you donate $20 or more to LEF’s Staff Teacher Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) program, we send a handsome certificate to the teacher you wish to honor. The certificate includes your name without specifying the dollar amount of the gift.

STAR certificates tell your favorite teachers you appreciate them in a way that benefits all the children of Lexington.

Support the Annual Fund

The more you give, the more LEF can give. Contributions to the Annual Fund are directly applied to requests for grants in the same year, supporting LEF’s three grant and fellowship programs. Since 1991, LEF has funded nearly $2 million in grants in the Lexington Public Schools – all thanks to your generosity.

Give to the LEF Endowment

Established in 2001, the LEF Endowment supplements funds available annually for LEF’s grant programs. Currently valued at more than $1.6 million, income from the Endowment provides a guaranteed income stream to support LEF’s current grant programs, as well future initiatives.

Careful management of the Endowment by the Investment Committee - made up of some of our community’s leading financial managers - ensures consistent and responsible financial growth.
